ANDERSON NOT HORSING ABOUT!

GARY ANDERSON wants to win a third Paddy Power World Championship because his daughter wants to buy a HORSE!
The Flying Scotsman crushed big Croat Boris Krcmar 4-1 in a workmanlike last 32 clash at the Ally Pally.
Ando, 53, had to come back from losing the opening set before moving into top gear to finally wear down the fierce 6ft4in big scorer.
He said: “When Boris won the first set I thought this was going to be a struggle.
“I got it back to 1-1 and the next two sets, the third set was tight but fourth set comfortable. The last set, you could tell the way he was throwing, I kind of had him.”
Anderson was given a remarkable reception by the Ally Pally fans before delivering a powerhouse show, including peaking at a 112 average to win the third set.
He added: “I’m absolutely sweating buckets. Tonight when I walked out, I’ve never had that before, it was a shock.
“I would hate to see the state of them at New Year. They come from all over the planet to watch this game and we’ve got to thank them.
“If it wasn’t for the supporters it would be a boring game.”
Anderson also admitted that his motivation for more glory is because he’s written off by pundits and that his daughter Cheylea wants a new four-legged friend.
On why he wants to keep winning, he added: “Sky saying I’m finished. Unlucky for yous I’m not done yet. My daughter wants a horse so I better keep playing.”
He now faces Brendan Dolan on Saturday night for a place in the quarter-finals to face the winner of the Raymond van Barneveld v Luke Littler clash.
He said: “I was looking forward to playing Gezzy. The last four or five games we’ve played really well against each other.
“Brendan is a dark horse, he is a class act. Never write Brendan Dolan off. Lovely guy and a bloody good dart player.”
It was the big Croat who came roaring out the traps and settled very quickly. While Anderson also looked typically lethal on the scoring, it was Krcmar who delivered the opening blow with a wonderful 161 on bull to take the opening set.
However, it was soon all level. Although a tad shaky on the doubles, Anderson took out double two to make it 1-1 in sets.
Suddenly the match came alive. Krcmar and Ando were banging in 180s for fun in a proper slugfest. But it was the Scot who prevailed with a double 18 finish to go in front 2-1 having averaged 112 for the set.
Krcmar was just starting to feel the pace and Ando made it 3-1 with double 12 and closing in on victory.
Then it was all over. The Scot broke throw in the fifth set and, hit a maximum 180 and wrapped it up with double 12.
