EVANS PAYS HEARTFELT TRIBUTE TO SISTER

RICKY EVANS has paid a heartfelt tribute to his sister after she suddenly passed away.
World No. 44 Evans played in the UK Open on Friday, beating Gabriel Clemens before losing to Dave Chisnall in round four.
‘Rapid’s’ management company broke the news, saying: “We send our deepest condolences to Ricky Evans and his family and friends, after the devastating news of the sudden passing of his sister Elisha.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with you Ricky.”
The 34-year-old then shared several images of the pair together on social media.
He wrote a touching caption that read: “My beautiful little sister Elisha… I love you so much. I’ll always be your best friend.”
Fellow player Ross Smith added: “Very sorry to hear this awful news. Sending love to Ricky and his family.”
Evans, who made the third round of the World Championships earlier this year, is one of the most popular players on tour.
He has made it as far as the last-32 six times and he got to the UK Open semi-final last year.
