HOOD REVEALS PDC WARNING AFTER SHIRT LIFTING

28/01/2026 By Aaron Nijjar

JUSTIN HOOD revealed he was told off by the PDC after repeatedly lifting his shirt on stage.

‘Happy Feet’ reached the quarter-final of the World Championship on debut before falling to Gary Anderson.

The Bristolian admits life has been “a bit mad” since returning home from Alexandra Palace, with his popularity soaring following his recent exploits.

Hood is a wacky character on the oche and insists he has no intention of changing his approach — even after a quiet word from darts chiefs.

He told the WeeklyDartscast: “It’s been a bit mad to be honest.

“I’m finding it hard now to go out and practice, but in a good way because people want to come up and have pictures with me. It’s quite nice, but I’ve still got to practice!

“I like to have a laugh with people (when I’m on stage). If it relaxes me, happy days.

“I’m not going to change who I am. I got told off a couple of times by the PDC for lifting my shirt up, but it is what it is.

“I had a good time and I think the fans had a good time and long may it continue.

“I just want to win every game I play. I’ll take it one game a time. It doesn’t matter if it’s a ProTour or the Worlds, I’ll take it one game at a time and enjoy the experience.”

Hood has long made it clear that he aspires to own a Chinese restaurant one day.

World No. 50 Hood opened up about plans in the pipeline for a potential sit-down with social media personality Big John at one of his favourite spots.

He added: “His PR team has reached out three or four times to my partner.

“I don’t know what she’s responded, but I’ll have a look at that later and see what’s going on.

“But I want the food. I know what he’s like — he’ll take it all!”
