LUKE LITTLER beat Gian van Veen 10-4 to enter the Semi-Final of the UK Open.   

‘The Nuke’ put in a stellar performance as he averaged 107.30 against the Dutchman and sealed the win with a glorious 102 checkout.  

World No.2 Littler hit seven 180s in the match.   

The teen sensation has a flawless record in the last four of majors as he remains unbeaten in six outings.   

Reflecting on his victory, Littler said: “I’m very happy with my performance there. A good result and back tonight for the final session.”  

Littler heaped praise on his opponent Van Veen who he also beat to claim the 2023 World Youth Championship.  

He said: “Me and Gian have played many times and we both get on with it which helps me.  

“I’m sure he’ll be a top 16 player soon and pushing for top 10.”  

Four-time major winner Littler revealed he is relishing the challenge to face any of the remaining players in the draw.   

He said: “Whatever happens with the draw happens. It doesn’t really matter who I do play, I’m happy with anyone.”
