LITTLER OPENS UP ON STRUGGLES WITH ONLINE HATE AT RELATIONSHIP

LUKE LITTLER admits girlfriend Faith Millar is just what he “needed” in his chaotic life.
World No. 2 Littler was accompanied by his long-term partner for the Australian Masters last weekend.
‘The Nuke’ strolled to victory thanks to an 8-4 win over Mike De Decker in the final at Wollongong.
Six-times major winner Littler revealed he has become adept at blocking out the “negativity” aimed at his relationship from social media trolls.
He told Dartstream: “She’s a lovely lady, Faith.
“I think it’s sort of what I needed. I knew my mum and dad weren’t going to come.
“And as soon as I asked the question, she was like, ‘Yeah, I don’t think I’ll ever get the chance.” So I said, ‘You can come with me.’
“It’s been tough. Obviously, at the start of last year, I was always looking at the comments. And she’s been having a look [at the] negativity.
“But I just said, ‘They’re jealous. They wanna ruin us.’
“But I just said, ‘Just don’t look at it and just focus on what we’ve got’.”
Teen sensation Littler will now look to add the New Zealand Darts Masters to the collection, with the tournament starting on Friday.
He added: “Obviously, it hadn’t gone to plan on the World Series circuit this year.
“But there’s plenty of opportunities to win and I’ve finally picked up that trophy.
“I cannot wait for Auckland now. We’ll have a few days off, and then off we go!”
