Durrant admits he offered Lewis £5k for iconic walk-on song

GLEN DURRANT revealed he offered FIVE GRAND to steal Adrian Lewis’ walk-on song.

The former Premier League champ made the jump from the BDO to the PDC in 2019.

Durrant, 55, used the same entrance music as Lewis during his time at Lakeside but was forced to change it after switching organisations.

Former world champ Lewis had “Pigbag” by Perfecto Allstarz as his anthem during his time on the professional circuit.

Duzza was keen to snatch the tune off his rival for his own gain at the major events but instead was forced to use “Pump it up” by Endor.

He told Oche180: "That walk-on is so important so to hear it was Pump It Up, yes it brought me back to the Premier League but Pigbag for me will always be my walk-on.

"£5k [I offered Adrian Lewis]. Thank God he did [say no] because literally 12 months later I couldn't hit the dartboard.

"In hindsight if you hear that song you think Adie Lewis. The BDO stalwarts might remember me doing it [but] it rightly belongs to Lewis."

Durrant enjoyed a decorated PDC career, reaching the semi-finals of both the Grand Slam and World Matchplay.

The Middlesbrough thrower also claimed two Players Championship titles and won the Premier League

He subsequently retired in 2022 after a dip in form saw him fail to reach a major quarter-final the previous year.
