Littler reveals next big buy after becoming darts’ first £3million man
Published 28 July 2026
LUKE LITTLER is ready to splash the cash on a new motor after becoming the first £3million man in the sport.
The world No1 has enjoyed a remarkable 2026 campaign, winning every PDC major he has entered so far.
Littler, 19, successfully defended his World Matchplay crown at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool last week, becoming the first player to do so since Michael van Gerwen back in 2016.
The Warrington ace now sits on a staggering £3.1435million at the top of the PDC Order of Merit, with a mammoth £2.135million cushion over world No.2 Luke Humphries.
Littler is now looking to upgrade his wheels after admitting his BMW 1 Series is not fast enough.
He said: “I’m looking at a new car, don’t know what to get yet. I need some more brake horsepower, 170 is not enough!”
Gian van Veen is the only other player currently holding a ranked televised title, having won the European Championship, highlighting just how dominant Littler has been.
The Nuke has swept up every other non-ranked televised trophy too, with only the World Series Finals escaping him after Michael van Gerwen denied him last year.
Littler is chasing even greater immortality by trying to match and surpass the achievements of his childhood hero Phil Taylor.
He added: “I don't think anyone has ever won every major in the calendar year and that is what we are pushing for.
“The family, they are always backing me a million per cent and that is what drives me on.”
The teen sensation also revealed his ultimate ambition is to overtake Taylor’s record haul of 16 world titles and become the greatest of all time.
He continued: “I would absolutely love to be the greatest dart player there ever has been.
“As I have always said, I have got to win 16 of these, 16 worlds, and then have a look at whatever else Phil Taylor did win.
“I have got plenty more years. When am I going to retire? Who knows. I have still got plenty more years left in the tank.”
Littler’s latest Matchplay triumph was another record-breaking week as he smashed Taylor’s 16-year tournament average record.
The Warrington ace averaged 111.04 across his five matches in Blackpool, destroying Taylor’s previous benchmark of 106.31 from 2010.
He also broke his own record for the most 180s hit in a single World Matchplay campaign.
