LUKE LITTLER is to star in a new Netflix show which is offering £501,000 to anyone who can beat the world No.1.

Just hours after lifting the World Matchplay title and smashing Gerwyn Price 18-8 in Blackpool, the new TV game show has been announced.

The world champion will take on pub players, with a life-changing jackpot to anyone who can achieve the impossible.

‘Beat Luke Littler’ will be aired live on Netflix on October 30 and will include regional heats in Manchester and London in September before 20 competitors take on Littler in a single leg.

Littler said: “Everyone thinks they can beat me. Now they get a chance to prove it. Bring it on.”

A statement from Netflix read: “The rules are simple: one night, one chance, and one perfect leg of 501. If an amateur can defeat darts prodigy Luke Littler, they will walk away with a life-changing £501,000.

“Produced in partnership with the PDC, the governing body behind professional darts, the show will be rooted in the authentic world of competitive darts, bringing the sport’s electric atmosphere live on Netflix.

“To kick off the launch, Netflix has officially opened the nationwide recruitment search to find the 20 competitors brave enough to step up.”

Littler, 19, rewrote the history books as he broke Phil Taylor's 16-year tournament average record with a staggering 111.04 and set a new benchmark of 66 maximum 180s.

He also became the first player to break through the £3million barrier on the PDC Order of Merit.

But he reckons he can still get BETTER. He said: “I can still get better. I can get a lot better. Through the matches, I was up to a 120 average at one point and I didn’t make it stick. Maybe in a few years’ time I will stick it and go up to a 120 average.”
