Osman reveals shock odds of Littler keeping £501k prize in Netflix show

LUKE LITTLER has just a 15 per cent chance of winning all 20 legs in Netflix’s darts show, according to Richard Osman.

The world No1 will face 20 amateur stars in a single-leg 501 match on Beat Luke Littler, which airs live on October 30.

Littler, 19, could see one of the contestants walk away with a whopping £501,000 if they defeat him.

Gary Lineker will host the show, with Osman joining him as an analyst and statistician.

Former Pointless star Osman remarkably reckons Littler has a very slim chance of keeping hold of the huge cash prize.

He told the Rest is Entertainment: “I had such a good chat about it yesterday because I'm interested in the numbers.

“So, 20 amateurs come and play Luke Littler, and if you beat him over one leg of 501, you win £501,000.

“Obviously, he is the best player in the world. So people think, ‘Oh yeah, but how are you going to beat him?’

“Well, firstly, the people they are going for are going to be good darts players.

“You can’t be a pro, but these are good players. We were looking at all the numbers and you think, like, in any given leg, Luke Littler has got an 85 per cent chance of beating a player at that standard.

“So, any given leg, of course, he is going to win. But 20 legs, I think he’s got a 15 per cent chance of winning all 20.

“Which means an 85 per cent chance of giving away £501,000 to an amateur darts player.”

Regional qualifying heats will take place in Manchester and London during September before the successful entrants earn a one-leg shootout against The Nuke.

Littler heads into the competition in red-hot form after sweeping all SIX major titles this year as he targets a clean sweep.
