Rob Cross insists players must 'BELIEVE' they can beat 'SPECIAL' Luke Littler to stop World No.1 dominating
Published 18 August 2026
Rob Cross has admitted players want to avoid being World No.16 with would place them on a round two collision course World No.1 with Luke Littler.
"I'm happy. I'm looking forward to going into the backend of the year.
"Within them three months you can make massive jumps in the ranking, you can win a load of money.
"The idea is first of all try and get back in the top 16 soon. No one wants to be 16 at the minute otherwise it's second round [Luke] Littler.
"I think I can compete against anyone. I will say this two weeks ago with Littler he was very special, very special.
"If that carries on he's going to be hard to beat but if no one believes then he's already won before you turn up."
Rob Cross was speaking exclusively with Oche180.
