Sherrock seals seventh PDC World Championship appearance
Published 12 October 2026
FALLON SHERROCK is heading back to Alexandra Palace for a seventh crack at the PDC World Championship.
The Milton Keynes thrower finished third in the Women’s Series Order of Merit after reaching the final at Events Five and Seven before claiming her maiden title at Event 18 with a dominant 5-0 victory over Lisa Ashton.
Sherrock, 32, became a global sensation at the 2020 tournament when she made history by beating Ted Evetts and Mensur Suljovic before her run ended against Chris Dobey in the third round.
Sherrock made history by becoming the first woman to win a match at the major, and she remains the only woman to have achieved the feat.
But Sherrock has struggled to recapture that magic on the big stage, losing her last FIVE first-round ties against Steve Beaton, Ricky Evans, Jermaine Wattimena, Ryan Meikle and Dave Chisnall.
The Queen of the Palace will be joined by Ashton, who finished second in the Women’s Series Order of Merit.
Ashton famously lifted the Women’s World Matchplay title last year, defeating Beau Greaves, the world’s best female player, on her way to glory.
The Lancashire Rose claimed three Women’s Series titles in 2026, finishing second only to Greaves in the trophy count.
Gemma Hayter finished fourth in the Women’s Series Order of Merit, with Sweden’s Vicky Pruim next in line to secure her place and make her World Championship debut.
Women’s world No1 Greaves will also feature after qualifying through the ProTour rankings, having made history as the first woman to win a Players Championship title with an 8-7 final victory over former world champion Michael Smith.
