Williams admits he could lose Tour Card after nightmare year

SCOTT WILLIAMS admits he could LOSE his Tour Card in January after enduring a tough campaign on the oche.

The world No50 has won just one game on TV all year, beating Paolo Nebrida 3-0 at the World Championship.

Williams, 36, currently sits 94th on the Order of Merit year-to-date after picking up just £23,750 in 2026.

It is a stark contrast for Shaggy, who reached the World Championship semi-finals at Ally Pally just two years ago, beating Michael van Gerwen along the way.

Williams admits he has set himself no targets for the remainder of the season, with his priority simply being to keep his place on the PDC circuit.

He told ChrisLomasdarts: “I’ll be honest, I have no idea because the way it is going, I could potentially lose my Tour Card in January.

“So, then I’d have to look into the other ways. But right now I am looking forward to the next tournament to do my best again.

“I’m playing some really good stuff. I just want to keep going, getting them wins. The nine-darters are great but it doesn’t add any ranking money.”

The Lincolnshire thrower has changed his walk-on several times throughout his career and has now opted for a new tune once again.

Williams previously made K-Pop Demon Hunters his entrance music but has now switched to Scotty Doesn’t Know by Lustre.

The change comes after his previous K-Pop anthem failed to have the same impact at the Worlds.

He added: “Firstly, anyone that says it is not an unbelievable film and unbelievable soundtrack, you’re wrong.

“It’s my daughter’s favourite thing. The song itself is one of the most popular songs. The song itself I think is the most streamed song ever on Spotify.

“But then I used it at the Players Championship Finals for the first time and it went so well.

“Then it just didn’t hit at the World Championships which I was gutted about. I got loads of young fans from it which is one of the reasons I did it.

“It stemmed from my daughter. Even a year or two after it has come out she is still obsessed with K-Pop Demon Hunters.

“I’ve changed it to Scotty Doesn’t Know by Lustre.”
