PRICE MAY ALREADY HAVE LITTLER “IN HIS HEAD” AHEAD OF CLASH

GERWYN PRICE could already have Luke Littler “in his head” ahead of their huge Premier League semi-final at the O2.
The Iceman may have claimed two nightly victories during this year’s campaign, but he has still lost all SIX of his meetings with Littler.
World No7 Price has built his career on supreme self-belief and regularly backs himself as the best player on the stage.
But Presenter Polly James says Littler is the only opponent she has ever heard Price speak differently about.
She told the Love the Darts Podcast: “I’ve observed with Gezzy is that he’ll think he’s better than anyone else, which is, you know, that’s his mindset. Totally, totally.
“He’s like, you know, elite athlete status, that type of thing.
“But he will always say that Littler is just phenomenal. He’s a prodigy. He’s out of this world.
“He’s on a different planet. And I’ve never, ever heard him say anything like that about any other player.
“So, I don’t know whether Littler is like in his head slightly or whether he knows that there’s no beating this kid.
“And if he does beat me or if I do get one up on him, that’s great. But this kid is different.”
Price has been one of the form players on the circuit this season, reaching consecutive televised major semi-finals at both the World Masters and UK Open.
Yet despite his consistency, the Welshman is still searching for his first televised PDC ranking title since winning the World Series Finals in 2022.
