PRICE PREPARING TO MOVE FAMILY TO NEW FARM HOME

GERWYN PRICE is juggling Bulls on the dartboard and cows in the field after becoming a farm owner.
The former world champ has invested his darts earnings wisely, building a property portfolio by buying, renovating and selling homes across Wales.
Price has recently purchased acres of farmland with the aim of creating a family home for himself, his wife, their two children and a host of animals.
While Price will miss the World Cup in Germany later this month, The Iceman expects life on the farm to become increasingly demanding alongside his busy tournament schedule.
Price was asked what he enjoys doing away from the oche and told SunSport: “Be a farmer. Pick up some sheep. Chuck about some cows.
“I haven’t watched Jeremy Clarkson’s farm show yet. I have heard about it. I will take a peek later.
“It’s going to take a while for some planning to come through for the farm.
“It’s probably on the back burner for the next two or three months, which is rubbish timing when the majors come up at the end of the year, and when I start renovating.
“I have done it loads of times where I have built properties or renovated them.
“Sometimes it can help and take your mind off darts. It stops you thinking about certain things too much. It will be good for me.
“I prefer to be outdoors. As a kid, I was always out and about. I was not one of these kids that liked to sit in your bedroom and play on a computer.
“I have always wanted a small holding, just to live out in the countryside.
“But I have bought a bit bigger than a small holding.
“The missus thought the last property was the last move we were ever going to do.
“Now, I’ve said this one is. But you never know, we might find something else.
“Do I have the X-Tractor? Ha, I’ve actually got a farmer’s ex-tractor…”
