PHIL TAYLOR has revealed the enormous sum of money that would tempt him back to the oche.

The 16-time World Championship winner has been fully retired since 2024 – four years after leaving the PDC.

Taylor has admitted that if the sport goes to the riches of Saudi Arabia, then it could lure him back.

‘The Power’ has suggested that PDC chairman Barry Hearn could be willing to offer a huge sum of £10MILLION in prize money for the winner.

He told talkSPORT: “Would I come back? I would ask to be sent some darts and a dartboard, definitely. I think also, if it does go to Saudi Arabia, I wouldn’t put it past Barry – £10million for the winner.

“I think Saudi Arabia is that big of a sports country now, I think they could make it £10m. That’s how big I think Barry will make it. I’ll be doing something, trust me.”

Taylor would need to acquire a new board and a set of darts if he intended to return. His old belongings now belong to his loved ones, leaving him without any of his own.

He added: “I don’t even have a set of darts anymore or a dartboard. The grandkids have got my dartboard and my mates have got my darts.

“I’ve not got one trophy. My daughter has them all, and my family and friends have them. You can’t eat trophies. So, I’m not too bothered. You have to clean them, so I’ve given them to somebody else.”

With 85 Major titles to his name, there is no doubt Taylor is the greatest darts player to ever grace the oche.
