LUKE LITTLER decked Mike De Decker without missing a dart at a double.

The world champion started his quest for the only major title he hasn’t won with a devastating 6-1 win over the Belgian.

Littler, 19, delivered a stunning 113.8 average and six out of six on the checkouts at the Poland Darts Open in Krakow.

It’s the first event on the Euro Tour which culminates with the European Championship final in Dortmund in October, the only title not on The Nuke’s CV.

He’s made a below par start to the Premier League but was on fire in Krakow – apart from getting the name of the tournament wrong in the post-match interview.

Littler said: “I definitely needed this tonight. I definitely needed to put on a performance not only for myself but for the fans.

“It’s not gone my way for the first three weeks in the Premier League.

“But this is Poland’s first World Series and I always want to win the first World Series of the year.

“Even when we went to Saudi last month for the World Series I wanted to win it. I got the job done.

“This is only the first game. Michael (van Gerwen) and Phil (Taylor) always wanted to be the first winner and I certainly want to be the first winner here this weekend.

“It always interesting what to expect from a new crowd. It’s their first Euro Tour, it’s our first Euro Tour coming here. Amazing fans.”

It was Littler’s NINTH successive win over De Decker. The Belgian levelled it at 1-1 but The Nuke reeled off five leg wins which included clinical 86 and 72 finishes.
