CHARLIE Manby and James Hurrell SQUARED-UP in an angry row after their UK Open clash.

Manby wrapped up a 6-4 round three win over Hurrell on the outer boards in Minehead.

But as the match ended the pair went nose-to-nose as they exchanged verbals. The dispute lasted a few minutes before the officials kept the duo apart.

The fans, who are close to the players in the outer arena, also got involved with boos and jeers in the noisy fracas.

‘Champagne Charlie’ said: “I just don’t think he was happy with me giving it the biggun when there’s a lot riding on it.

“I am mates with Jammo sat on his table for ProTours and get on really well with him.

“He were giving it to me back. That were it really. There’s no friends on the oche.

“If I want to give it the biggun, I’ll give it the biggun. There’s no restrictions to that.

“You’ve got loads of people out there giving it the biggun as well. My fans, his fans, just as much as each other.”
