MENZIES READY TO FIGHT LAWRIE OVER WALK-ON TUNE!

CAMERON MENZIES has joked he’d “FIGHT” teenage sensation Mitchell Lawrie over his walk-on tune.
‘Cammy’ currently uses “The Glen” by Beluga Lagoon as his entrance music, but it is the same as fellow compatriot Lawrie.
Lawrie, 15, has taken the amateur circuit by storm, finishing runner-up at Lakeside on his debut and already landing SEVEN WDF-ranked major titles.
Rangers-mad Menzies couldn’t believe his ears when his song suddenly blasted out during a match at Ibrox.
He said: “I was going to say I’ll fight him but he’s bigger than me so he’ll batter me. We’ll come to that bridge when we come to it.
“That wee guy’s got a future in darts. He will walk past me.
“Will he be better than Gary [Anderson]? I don’t know but I’ll tell you what, he’ll be up there.
“It really annoyed me – I’m a big Rangers fan, he’s a big Rangers fan. I was at a game with me and my Dad.
“At half-time, boom, my song come on. I was like, ‘why’s my song coming on?’ Mitchell Lawrie’s just walked on the park. I was like, ‘what the hell?’
“He’s great for Scottish darts, he’s great for darts in general.
“I have a lot of time for him and I’ve played him once he absolutely scalped me. He’s a big boy now he’s 15 years old.
“His papa and my dad go back donkeys. I’ll go back to Barbie Girl if he wants!”
World No.28 Menzies recently competed at the Belgium Open, where he exited in the second round following a 6-4 defeat to Ross Smith.
Menzies is currently in line to represent Scotland for the first time in his career alongside Gary Anderson at the World Cup, with Peter Wright having dropped out of the top 30 on the PDC Order of Merit.
