JONNY CLAYTON gave his wife the perfect 20th wedding anniversary gift after winning Night 11 of the Premier League in Rotterdam.

World No.5 Jonny Clayton became the first player to claim FOUR nightly victories this season after edging out Luke Littler 6-5 in a thrilling final.

The Ferret pocketed the £10,000 top prize and now sits on 29 points at the top of the table.

The Welshman was clinical on his doubles, landing six from 12, and fired in a sensational 170 checkout in the deciding leg to beat Michael van Gerwen 6-2. He then held his nerve to see off Josh Rock 6-5 in a nail-biting semi-final clash.

Clayton admitted he was fired up with a point to prove after discovering he had been tipped to finish bottom before the tournament began.

He said: “I had to do something special today because it is my 20th anniversary and I didn’t forget.

“So this does something, alright. To be fair, I started off slow. Luke did not play how he started off, but chances you have to take.

“I did that again and that is all that counts. I just come here to try and win games of darts. I don’t watch many games back, but I watched last week’s game against Michael [van Gerwen].

“It hurt when somebody said I was favourite to finish bottom. That really hurt and annoyed me a bit.

“It is going good for myself, so I have a smile on my face. Look at some other people you have the wrong person.”

Littler fired in a stunning 124 checkout to seal a 6-3 victory over Gerwyn Price in the quarter-final.

The teen sensation held off a late surge from Luke Humphries, who rattled off three legs on the spin, to edge a thrilling contest 6-5 in the semi-final.

Humphries averaged a superb 100.51 to cruise past Gian van Veen 6-2 in their opener.

Rock dispatched Stephen Bunting 6-1 after taking out 50 percent of his doubles.
