BROOKS FORCED TO WITHDRAW FROM PROTOUR AFTER BOARDING DRAMA

BRADLEY BROOKS has been forced to withdraw from the ProTour double header in Hildesheim after being denied boarding due to a passport technicality.
The world No.68 had travelled to the airport as planned and successfully checked in for his flight, even handing over his luggage before reaching the gate.
But the Blackburn thrower was stopped at the point of boarding after it emerged his passport did not meet EU entry requirements.
Despite having seven months remaining on the document, it had passed the 10-year limit from its issue date, making it invalid for travel.
Brooks revealed his frustration in a candid post on X and wrote: “No Germany for me for the next few days.
“Had 7 months left on my passport… but didn’t know as soon as it’s 10 years from when it was issued you can’t use it!🤦🏻♂️
“My own fault really… just a bit s*** they let me check in, took my bag and waited until I was boarding too tell me.”
Bam Bam will therefore miss the Players Championship 13 and 14 this Monday and Tuesday.
Brooks enjoyed a stellar 2025 campaign, picking up his maiden PDC ranking title at Players Championship 25.
However, he has struggled to build on that success this season, with his best result a run to the last 16 at Players Championship Three.
