DARYL GURNEY believed conditions at the Players Championship 3 in Rosmalen, Holland were less than ideal for players.
‘Superchin’ beat Bradley Brook in the opening round of the ProTour event.
However, he then faced Geroge Killington in the last 64 and suffered defeat.
The two-time Major winner took to social media to release his frustration at the playing conditions of the venue.
World No.25 Gurney wrote: “Really disappointed with the playing conditions today in Rosmalen. The venue is freezing, and no consideration of the location for players. A bad decisions on the PDC’s behalf and the players deserve better!!!”
Gurney is a ProTour veteran having won two Players Championship titles and being a six-time finalist.
For darts players, maintaining a stable environment is crucial for peak performance, as factors like cold temperatures and poor playing conditions can be detrimental.
A drop in temperature, for instance, can impact the grip on the darts, affecting accuracy and control.
The PDC declined to comment but Oche180 understands their door is open for players to reach out in private if they have issues.
