CHRIS DOBEY has revealed his least favourite player to face on the oche is Damon Heta.
‘Hollywood’ has lost to ‘The Heat’ on all eight occasions they have faced off.
World No. 7 Heta has flourished on the ProTour winning at least two Players Championship titles every year since 2022.
The Australian thrower reached his first major semi-final last year at the UK Open.
However, Heta was unlucky to exit the tournament in round six this year as he lost 10–9 to Gian van Veen despite hitting nine out of ten doubles and averaging 98.85.
Dobey admitted to the Tops and Tales podcast he does not enjoy playing Heta due to his losing record against the 37-year-old.
He said: “My least favourite is [Damon] Heta because I’ve never beaten him! I’ve gave him so many good games.
“You know it’s in your head. Especially after when he comes over to you and says, ‘oh, you still haven’t beat me’.
“I would say Damon Heta is the one because of the record.”
Heta is lethal on his doubles as he boasts the highest checkout percentage on tour over the past year with an incredible 44.24 percent.
World No. 8 Dobey did admit his favourite player to face on tour was Jonny Clayton.
‘The Ferret’ has had a magnificent 2025 reaching the final of the Winmau World Masters before following it up with a run to the last four of the UK Open.
He said: “Anyone with a good pace. I like playing Johnny Clayton because it’s a good pace.
“Of course, me and Johnny have had some great games on the floor and on the stage.
“But he’s probably got a better record against me.”
Dobey currently sits seventh in the Premier League despite making it to the final on night one.
He will be hoping to build on his performances and break into the top four as he faces Luke Littler this Thursday in Brighton on night five.
