30 YEARS OF AWARD-WINNING JOURNALISM IN DARTS

LITTLER DITCHES MANAGEMENT TEAM TO FLY SOLO

07/10/2025 By Aaron Nijjar

LUKE LITTLER has confirmed he will go SOLO following his split from ZXF Sports Management, ending a partnership that began when he was 13.

World No. 2 Luke Littler overcame a record-breaking 106.45 average from Gian van Veen to seal a 2-0 victory in a thrilling World Grand Prix opener.

‘The Nuke’ himself averaged 105.60 and took out two stellar checkouts of 151 and 144 to secure the victory in just over TEN minutes of playing time.

Speaking after his triumph, Littler said he’ll now manage his own career with support from his family and Garry Plummer at Target Darts.

He said: “I’m on my own. Just as myself, I think it’s better.

“Obviously I’ve got my family to support me and obviously Martin [Foulds] had done his job, but I think it was the right time.

“Booking flights, hotels and all that stuff we’re just on our own.

“I’m going to have help from Garry [Plummer] at Target as well. It’s going to be massive; we’re going in the right direction.

“No one knows what’s been going on behind the scenes. And I won’t be saying anything, but it was just the right time.”

Teen sensation Littler announced on Friday that he will no longer be part of the ZXF Management stable run by Martin Foulds after joining in 2020.

Foulds guided the 18-year-old from promising junior talent to the very summit of world darts.

Littler was regularly accompanied by Foulds when he sensationally reached the 2024 World Championship final at Ally Pally as an amateur.

The Warrington thrower was beaten by Luke Humphries, but it proved the start of an incredible story.

Littler returned the following year to become the youngest person to lift the Sid Waddell Trophy, as he beat Michael van Gerwen for the £500,000 top prize.

Over the following 12 months, Littler won more than £1million in prize money, landed multiple major titles and became one of sport’s biggest breakout stars.

Behind the scenes, Foulds helped secure lucrative commercial deals and provided trusted financial advice as Littler and his family adjusted to life in the spotlight.
