RAZMA AND MANSELL IN WAR OF WORDS AFTER WIGAN CLASH
16/10/2025 By Aaron Nijjar
MADARS RAZMA and MICKEY MANSELL clashed online after their fiery first-round match at Players Championship 32.
Former Grand Slam semi-finalist Mansell came out on top 6–4 with a 102.67 average, but it was Razma’s post-match dig that lit up social media.
World No. 46 Razma appeared to take a cheeky swipe at the Northern Irishman’s pace of play.
Razma wrote on X: “I was sleeping and the audience was sleeping, but still, a quality performance from my opponent.
“I will be back to the last two Pro Tours in 2 weeks.”
Mansell didn’t take kindly to the remark and responded: “After today you just moved inside the top 10 of my xxxx list.”
The exchange quickly caught the attention of darts fans, with Mansell later doubling down when one supporter accused him of being too slow, replying: “Only for losers!”
Mansell’s methodical style has often split opinions on tour.
Jonny Clayton famously admitted after facing him at the 2025 World Championship: “I wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy,” after struggling to keep rhythm against his steady throw.
‘Razmatazz’s’ jibe didn’t come without a bit of irony as the Latvian has faced similar accusations himself, most notably from Michael Smith, who criticised him after their 2024 World Championship clash.
Two-times major winner Smith said at the time: “If he had 136, he’d go treble 20, 20 and stand back.
“You’re a professional dart player.”
Both players have been accused of slowing the game down in the past, but this time it was their war of words, not their pace, that had everyone talking.
