JONNY CLAYTON warned Luke Littler to start chasing him after winning Night 10 of the Premier League in Brighton.

The Ferret picked up his THIRD Nightly title as he roared back from 5-2 down to defeat Michael van Gerwen 6-5 in the final.

World No.5 Clayton fired in a terrific 84 bullseye finish to level the affair at 5-5 and then pinged in D16 for the victory.

The Welshman survived FOUR match darts in an epic battle to pick up the £10,000 and go three points clear at the top of the table.

He said: “I thought the game was over at 5-2 to Michael. I think he missed and gave me chances.

“The last leg was my best of the game and they all count. I am back on top of the table.

“It’s time for Luke Littler to start chasing me again. It feels great — I know what it is like to be here.

“I have got the experience, I know what you need to get to Finals Night.

“You just have to play darts and take your chances, then you have a good chance for Week 17.

“I had lost to Josh last week and the week before. Josh just hit every double going and it puts you under pressure.

“Heading into tonight I was just hoping for two points — anything more than that is a bonus.

“To win the night is great and another trophy in the cabinet is great.”

Clayton edged past Luke Humphries, sealing a 6-5 victory with a superb 84 bullseye checkout. He then triumphed 6-4 against Josh Rock in the last four.

Van Gerwen fired in four 180s and averaged 95.44 to overcome Dutch compatriot Gian van Veen 6-4 in the quarter-final.

MVG fought back from 4-2 down to stun Stephen Bunting 6-5 in the semi-final.

Rock rattled in a stunning 164 checkout and averaged 96.49 to see off Gerwyn Price 6-4 in the last eight.

Bunting defeated Luke Littler 6-4 in a scrappy opener, with the teen sensation averaging just 83.94.
