EVANS PLAYED TOURNAMENT WITH NO PANTS ON!

RICKY EVANS revealed he once played an entire tournament with NO PANTS on.
‘Rapid Ricky’ made the final of the Dutch Darts Championship in 2018, going commando for three games.
The Kettering thrower eventually lost 8-5 to Ian White in the showpiece, but the shocking wardrobe mishap remained completely under the radar.
Evans admits he isn’t entirely sure what triggered the incident, though a dodgy meal and a surge of adrenaline didn’t help.
He told talkSPORT: “I got to the final once on the European Tour in Maastricht and I played Ian White.
“I played with no pants on. I don’t really want to go into detail because we had food and I didn’t really help myself.
“I shouldn’t have done what I did and I had no spares. So, I took them off, chucked them in the bin, and I played the next three games without any boxers.
“I remember my manager at the time and Bunting having food because they were driving home.
“I think I might have had McDonald’s and maybe the adrenaline or pressure of winning games.
“I thought it was safe, but it backfired.”
Evans admits he thrived at the oche without any underwear, and says it even gave him an extra boost to lift the silverware.
He added: “It was brilliant, a bit of air. I remember one of the games my zip was not going up and I thought this is just what I need.
“I remember the players I beat — Joe Cullen, William O’Connor — and I had no boxers on all day.
“I was like I’d love to win this today with no boxers on.”
Evans enjoyed a solid 2025 campaign, reaching the quarter-finals of both the Grand Slam and Players Championship 16.
The World No.46 also made it to the third round of the World Championship before falling to Charlie Manby.
