DAMON HETA has revealed he would play in the Premier League if invited next year.

World No. 7 Heta has flourished on the ProTour winning at least two Players Championship titles every year since 2022.

The Australian thrower reached his first major semi-final in 2024 at the UK Open.

‘The Heat’ also made the quarter-final of the World Masters this year.

Despite Heta’s great form, Premier League Darts chiefs didn’t approach him ahead of his omission from the star-studded 2025 line-up.

Heta told talkSPORT he would definitely participate in the tournament next year if he was invited by the PDC.

He said: “The Premier League has never been on my radar. I always look at the next event. It’s all about ranking for me.

“But if I ever get asked or ever get picked, I’m not going to turn it down. It’s silly to turn it down.

“But I’m not going to dwell on it and I’m not going to lose sleep.”

Former World Cup champion Heta is lethal on his doubles as he boasts the highest checkout percentage on tour over the past year with an incredible 44.24 percent.

Seven-time Players Championship winner Heta also believes Stephen Bunting will not be disheartened if he does not finish in the top four in this year’s Premier League.

Bunting is still awaiting his first win and sits bottom of the table heading into week six.

However, ‘The Bullet’ can count himself unlucky to not secure a victory as he has a terrific tournament average of 98.08.

He added: “I think he feels privileged to just be playing the Premier League.

“You know he’s playing for 17 weeks and he’s going to be on that stage still relishing being there in the moment.

“Even if he did not make the top four, I don’t think he would be that disappointed.

“He has had a good start with winning the Bahrain Masters. Things were flowing and snowballing.

“It might snowball effect in the Premier League that he might not win so many games. It’s all down to him and how he approaches it.”

Heta returns to action tomorrow (Tuesday) at the Players Championship Five in Leicester.
