LEEK HOMELESS AFTER SECURING PDC TOUR CARD

ADAM LEEK admitted he is HOMELESS after securing a PDC Tour Card at Q-School.

The Aussie arrived in England just two months ago, having left his job in Adelaide to chase a professional darts career.

The 27-year-old overcame Jonathan Kavanagh and Dylan Slevin before going on to win his next four matches in tense, last-leg deciders.

Leek then capped the run with a dramatic 6–5 victory over Tyler Thorpe to seal the remarkable achievement.

Leek revealed that he still does not know where he will live, having yet to secure a permanent residence in the UK.

He told the PDC: “I can’t believe it. To be honest, I thought next year was going to be more likely.

“I have a lot of things I still have to work out. I don’t even know where to start.

“I don’t even know how I’m going to work it out, but I’ve got to work it out.

“Where am I going to live? I don’t know. I don’t know. I don’t even know how I’m going to get back now.”

Leek’s impressive achievement will now see him represent Australia alongside Damon Heta at the World Cup.

Former European champion Simon Whitlock will miss out, bringing an end to his run of 16 consecutive appearances at the tournament, which he won in 2022.

Leek reckons a change in mindset has been the key to his recent improvement at the oche.

He added: “I have always believed I had the talent.

“I think I’ve been as good as this two years ago — I think it’s just mindset. I used to get so frustrated playing darts. I used to beat myself out of winning games.

“I’ve just had to learn to lose. Now I just enjoy playing the game of darts. I go, you know what — if I lose, fair play.”
