LITTLER AIMS TO BE SAUDI GOLDEN BULLS

LUKE LITTLER wants to become the David Beckham of darts and be the first golden bulls.

The Nuke is aiming to be dosh and Becks and win the most prized jackpot for a nine-darter in darts history at the Saudi Masters on January 19/20.

There will be a bumper £75,000 prize on offer to any player who lands a nine-darter throughout the event – and this bonus could be doubled following the introduction of the Riyadh Season Bullseye.

If a nine-darter is hit during the event, the player will be given one dart at the bullseye, dubbed golden bull, to double their prize to £150,000, which would constitute the biggest prize pot for a nine-darter in PDC history.

Littler, 18, admitted he’d love to be the golden bulls of the oche as a nod to the nickname of his Manchester United hero Beckham.

He said: “I mean, I’d love to do it. Obviously, it’s something that’s an opportunity for all of us players. But yeah, obviously I’d love to be the first one to do it.

“Obviously, it’s a 50/50, shot. I think if I do it, I’m definitely going to take it on, but if I do miss it, then it is what it is. But we’ll have a good go next week.

“It’s going to be very interesting. But again, it’s an opportunity for us players to visit a different country, and just experience it all.

“Riyahd is massive for the boxing, obviously, hopefully we can go over there and make darts big over there.”
