LUKE LITTLER is aiming to break numerous darting records in 2025.

‘The Nuke’ won his THIRD Premier League night from seven in Cardiff.

World No. 2 Littler averaged a remarkable 112.50 and fired in 10 maximums to beat Michael van Gerwen 6-4 in the final.

Teen sensation Littler also hit his second nine-darter of the season against the Van Gerwen to scoop a £30,000 set of gold darts from tournament sponsors BetMGM.

Littler is eyeing Premier League milestones as he surges towards Finals Night at London’s O2.

He said: “I’m not sure what the record points for nightly wins is, but I’m sure I’ll get told or I’ll look it up myself. So, obviously, try and beat those records and break records for myself.”

Reigning World Champion Littler equalled the record for perfect legs in a calendar year in 2024 with a quartet and now he’s on the chase to set a new landmark with five.

He added: “Hopefully. Obviously, it took me a few months to hit one. Now I’ve got my second, but I’ve always said it, as a player, you know when it’s almost coming because when you’re playing really well.

“The hardest thing is when you hit a 180, the next treble just feels dead small. But once you’re able to get it in, then you feel up for it. I’m glad I’ve hit one on TV for the first time this year.”

The Warrington thrower will get his gold darts soon and joked that it’s “boring” that he won’t be able to throw them after being informed of their size and weight.

But an even bigger prize might be on the horizon soon enough with speculation continuing to grow about an imminent PDC announcement of a £1million World Championship-winning jackpot for this year.

Five-time major winner Littler stayed coy on the matter and said: “I’ve not been told anything. But obviously, I think it’s been going around for many years. It’s been £500,000 for the past however many. But I think that’s the next big step for us dart players.”

When it was put to him it would be a huge statement by darts chiefs, he added: “Yeah, it would be. Obviously, whoever wins it, they’ll obviously go straight to No.1. So, if it is this year, if it’s next year, I do feel 99 percent sure it’ll happen one day.”

Littler’s instant reward for another success is to skip this weekend’s Euro Tour event in Germany for more rest time.

The 18-year-old also took a breather last weekend, but it didn’t show as he stormed to his best in Wales in a chilling reminder to rivals that he doesn’t always need to graft to show his class.

He said: “It’s just a case of just having days off. I can’t really see many dart players in the Premier League practising at home. Obviously, everyone’s going to the Euro Tour, which I’ve pulled out of. But no, it’s just another chilled week off.

“Players need to have the rest. Mostly, I think everyone from the Prem is going to the EuroTour this weekend. I just told them not to for myself, just have another week off, chill out and see how the darts fly in Newcastle.”

Littler has a cushion heading to the North East due to his rampant form which, in the past three weeks, has seen him go from seven points behind Luke Humphries in the table to six points ahead.

He admitted: “It’s a really good boost and we’ve still got another nine weeks to go.

“I wouldn’t say the tide’s turned. Luke’s still capable of winning the nightly wins. But I’ve just got to enjoy this one and try and add on to it.”
