LITTLER “DIDN’T LOOK INTERESTED” IN NIGHT 10 EXIT

LUKE LITTLER “didn’t look interested” during a subdued display in his Night 10 Premier League exit.
World No.1 Littler fell to a 6-4 quarter-final defeat against Stephen Bunting, posting his lowest televised average of just 83.94.
‘The Nuke’, who was also booed following last week’s incident with Gian van Veen, struggled to find any rhythm and even changed his darts during the contest.
Former World Champ John Part felt it was simply a difficult outing for the teen sensation in Brighton.
He said: “Stephen did what he had to do. It must have been off-putting watching Luke and how he played.
“He really was off, you can speculate whatever the reasons. For Stephen, he had to get on with it and he could have won the match 6-0.
“He really should have. The first two legs Luke won, he had no business winning.
“He didn’t look interested. I think Stephen would tell you he made harder work of it than he should have.
“But it is always hard work when you play the world No.1 and world champion.
“It is always going to be difficult. You can’t believe you are getting your chances and that they are playing badly. That is so rare.”
The 12-time major winner jetted off on a well-deserved family holiday over the Easter weekend.
Littler is currently joint top of the table with Jonny Clayton on 21 points and will face Gerwyn Price next week in Rotterdam.
