LITTLER TARGETS HISTORY AFTER ABERDEEN WIN

30/04/2026 By Aaron Nijjar

LUKE LITTLER is targeting another slice of history after winning Night 13 of the Premier League in Aberdeen.

The Nuke became the first player to secure FIVE nightly victories this season after roaring back from 5-3 down to beat Luke Humphries 6-5 in the final and claim the £10,000 top prize.

The world No.1 averaged a stellar 105.86 to see off Josh Rock 6-3 in the quarter-final. He then dispatched Gerwyn Price 6-1 in the semi-final, with the Welshman failing to hit a single maximum.

Littler now sits top of the table, two points clear of Jonny Clayton, and has already sealed his place in the Play-Offs at The O2.

The Warrington whizkid is now aiming to get a record-breaking seven nightly wins, with three weeks of the regular season remaining.

He said: “I definitely thought he knew he had a chance. Luke slowed his throw down quite a bit.

“That is for him, but I think it was still a good-paced game. I think Luke played very well there.

“He said to me at the end I needed those two points, but if he carries on playing like that next week then he will have a good chance.

“I just laughed. Everyone knows he has been struggling, but it was good to see us have a good game there.

“That is the chase now to break my own record. The last two weeks I have definitely deserved the wins.

“I always want to be on top. I don’t think Jonny is bothered. Hopefully now I can go chase and break my own records.

“I was just comfortable. Practice was going well. The crowd were okay tonight but definitely not the loudest.

“I think we need another Scottish player in the Premier League. Get the atmosphere up a bit.”

Humphries cruised to a 6-3 win over a below-par Michael van Gerwen.

He then smashed in a super 160 checkout and averaged 101.80 to record a 6-3 victory against Gian van Veen in the semi-final.

Price rattled off three consecutive legs on the spin to edge past Stephen Bunting 6-5 in a nail-biting affair.

Van Veen averaged 104.32 and took out 50 percent of his doubles to dispatch Clayton 6-2 in their opener.
