LITTLER TOPS TABLE WITH THIRD PREMIER LEAGUE NIGHT VICTORY

LUKE LITTLER went from Phil Foden to double big fishing to win his third Premier League night of the season.
The Nuke spent time with the England squad earlier in the week and showed them how to top the table in Berlin.
World No.1 Littler overtook Jonny Clayton at the summit with a 6-4 win over Michael van Gerwen at the Mercedes-Benz Arena.
The Warrington whizkid fired in TWO stunning 170 checkouts and averaged 106.36 to deny the Dutchman and seal the £10,000 top prize.
Littler admits he changed his Big Fish celebrations for Wayne Mardle and tweaked his darts setup just to get people talking.
He said: “It wasn’t too bad tonight. I played very well and the crowd were on my side at times. Them 170s, Wayne said to me last week I am reeling it out, so I reeled them back in twice for him.
“I think this is the best I have played on a night. I said coming into this, if I win my first game then I will change my darts into the second game to get a few people talking.
“I got people talking in Saudi that is when I used them, but Target went back and did a few adjustments to them because it wasn’t quite right.
“But they worked tonight. I knew if I won the night I would go top. Tonight, has just gone really well. I am glad to have the weekend off and onto Manchester.”
The teen sensation overcame Stephen Bunting 6-3 in a high-quality contest, with both players averaging over 104.
Littler averaged a whopping 108.58 to see off Gerwyn Price 6-4 in the semi-final.
Van Gerwen fired in a 99.04 average and produced a stunning 142 checkout as he powered to a 6-3 victory over Luke Humphries. He repeated the scoreline in defeating Josh Rock.
Rock finally got off the mark, ending a run of seven straight defeats as he cruised past Jonny Clayton 6-3 in their opener.
Price thrashed a below-par Gian van Veen 6-1, producing a clinical display on the doubles by taking out six of his ten attempts.
