GERWYN PRICE has branded talk of Beau Greaves getting a Premier League place as a “joke”.

The Iceman reached the last 16 of the Grand Slam with a comfortable 5-1 win over Alex Spellman in Wolverhampton last night (Monday).

One of the biggest talking points in recent weeks has been the emergence of Greaves and her potentially getting a spot in amongst the elite next season.

But Price, 40, was quick to dismiss the chat of red-hot prospect Greaves getting a place in the prestigious PL in 2026.

He said: “I’m No1 on the ProTour, No1 on the Players Championship list. If you look at money earned I’m in the top five, top six, I’ve had a great year.

“You look at everybody else, don’t question me, question them.

“Yeah I think that’s a joke, I dunno.”

Price also revealed that he switched back to his old BLACK SHOES in a bid to add another win to his three previous Slam victories.

He added: “I stuck with my black and white shoes. But my buddy John has been away for quite a while. When he’s with me it’s always a good omen.

“He said go back to your old shoes and get rid of those Nathan Aspinall trainers is what he says. I have and it’s worked.”
