ROCK BRIMMING WITH CONFIDENCE

05/04/2026 By Aaron Nijjar

JOSH ROCK says he has “all my confidence back” despite being bottom of the Premier League.

The World No.7 averaged a superb 102.57 as he beat Ryan Joyce 6-4 to storm into round three of the German Darts Grand Prix.

Rock, 24, revealed his belief has surged after finally getting off the mark in the Premier League last week in Berlin, where he ended a seven-match winless run by beating Jonny Clayton.

The Antrim thrower followed that up by repeating the feat against Clayton again this week in Manchester.

He said: “Ryan Joyce is the best double 16 hitter on the planet. I am happy to say that and everyone will agree with me.

“When it comes to that side of the board, he does not miss. He proved it tonight.

“I had to be on top of my game with scoring and get to a double first. I had one or two legs where I let it slip.

“I crawled it back and I am happy with the performance.

“I’ve got all my confidence back in the world after last week in Berlin, getting my f******.

“Sorry, I didn’t mean to say that. I didn’t meant to say that. No fine please.

“Getting my first win. Now I have all the confidence in the world and can push on. I am sorry!

“It’s a monkey off my back. I have no pressure on me now and I can enjoy the rest of my Premier League campaign.”

Rock returns to action on Sunday afternoon and will face Niels Zonneveld in the third round at Munich.
