ROCK VOWS TO END PREMIER LEAGUE HOODOO

JOSH ROCK admits he felt “discomfort” on stage as he bids to end his Premier League hoodoo.

‘Rocky’ averaged 90.78 to defeat Paul Krohne 6-4 and advance into the third round of the European Darts Trophy.

World No.8 Rock excelled in the UK Open reaching the semi-final and made the quarter-final of the World Masters.

But the Antrim thrower is still searching for his first win in the Premier League after SIX weeks and admits the pressure could be affecting him

He said: “I felt a lot of discomfort on stage. I was just trying too hard on stage. I haven’t been playing the best.

“I am just happy to get over the line and on to tomorrow.

“As Wayne Mardle said the other night, Josh is trying too hard to perform on a Thursday night, but he is not worried about anything else.

“He is right in what he is saying, that is the problem. I will get my first win in Dublin next week.”

Rock returns to action on Sunday afternoon in Gottingen, Germany as he bids to lift his second European Tour title.

The 24-year-old enjoyed a brilliant 2025 campaign on the European circuit, reaching the finals of the Flanders Darts Trophy and the Czech Darts Open.

Rock’s only crown on the tour remains the Dutch Darts Championship, which he won two years ago.
