DOBEY SAYS LITTLER CLASH COULD LAST THREE MINUTES

CHRIS DOBEY reckons his showdown with Luke Littler could be decided in just THREE minutes at the Poland Masters.

‘Hollywood’ stormed into the semi-final with a convincing 6-2 victory over Michael Smith in Krakow.

The Bedlington thrower has now set-up a showdown against ‘The Nuke’, winning three of their previous seven meetings.

Dobey insists he relishes testing himself against the very best but is wary of the threat world No.1 Littler poses.

He said: “It will probably only last three minutes. I know I have to be a lot better with my finishing and scoring. The man is a machine.

“You have to get off to a good start and put him under pressure. If not, I could be going home, but I am ready for him.

“I love playing him. He brings the best out of me. I wish I could play players like that all the time.

“No disrespect to any other player, but you want to play the best in the world and he is that. I will make sure I bring my A-game.”

World No.13 Dobey is also hoping to see former world champion Smith back at full throttle in the future.

He added: “It’s not nice to see and play games like that. Michael is a great player and I think in the first four legs he struggled.

“I was waiting for him to kick in and it just didn’t happen. You get games like that and you just have to blank it out.

“It’s a win, not the best of wins, but I will definitely take it.”
