LITTLER BACKS HIMSELF TO BEAT MO FARAH IN BIZARRE RACE

LUKE LITTLER has backed himself to come out on top in a wild hypothetical half-marathon showdown against Mo Farah.
The bizarre online debate imagines the Olympic four-time gold medalist and reigning PDC world champion facing off over 13.1 miles.
The concept, which has gone viral, imagines a long-distance race where each competitor must halt 13 times after each mile to complete a 501 finish before continuing the run.
Littler has put an end to the discussion and made his stance crystal clear.
He joked: “Sick of seeing this.
“Don’t think Mo could take out 501. Tbh I’d walk it after my first 501.”
The Nuke sent the messages to heavyweight boxer Dave Allen, who later shared the exchange on Instagram.
Allen also weighed in on the debate, revealing his own attempt to break it down mathematically.
He said: “This is probably the best question I’ve been asked in my entire life.
“Mo Farah, maybe a 4.15/4.20 mile average, Luke Littler 12,13,14 minutes. Could Mo Farah take a 501 out in eight minutes, 13 times on the bounce?
“It’ll all come down to the doubles because you can chip away at that 501 no problem.”
Allen confirmed he had put the same question to Farah himself but is still waiting on a response from the athletics superstar.
The scenario has been widely shared on social media and has split opinion.
Some argue Farah’s elite endurance would still prove decisive, while others believe Littler’s scoring ability at the oche would swing the race during the repeated 501 stoppages.
