PRICE JOKINGLY DUBBED AS BIGGEST MOANER!

LUKE LITTLER has dubbed Gerwyn Price the biggest MOANER in darts. 

‘The Nuke’, 17, revealed that the former World Champ Welshman had a slight dig at him after one of their clashes. 

The teen sensation took part in a light-hearted Sky Sports Q&A with the Premier League players on who are the biggest whingers, most dedicated, best dressed and who they’d swap lives with. 

On the sport’s biggest moaner, Littler said: “I’d probably go Gerwyn Price. Even when I beat him he goes ‘if someone gave me a double I’d win every game’. I was like ‘OK’!”

Former world champ Rob Cross added: “Gezzy likes a moan. The other day he missed a few doubles and I had to get the world’s smallest violin out. It’s not good for business.” 

Littler’s tongue-in-cheek comments on Price came just days before the ex-World Champ lashed out at the conditions at the Players Championship in Wigan. 

Ironically it seems The Iceman  pulled out of the tournament due to cold conditions and later wrote on Instagram: “Absolutely pathetic conditions, travel all the way to Wigan to play in a professional game and we have to play in less than amateur conditions.

“Never have ever given a game up, well that’s me out tomorrow as well. Gutted because my game was really good today and I rely on these events so much.”

A spokesperson for the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) said: “Gerwyn decided not to complete his match against Brendan Dolan and left the venue immediately. We understand he felt the venue was cold.”

In the Sky Sports questions, the Scottish players were also noted as the oche complainers. Peter Wright believes he’s the bigger whinger. He said: “That’s why they call me Otto. If you watch the film Otto you’ll see a grumpy old man and that’s me!”

Michael Smith added: “It used to be Merv King. I think Gary Anderson’s has taken that mantle at the minute. 

Nathan Aspinall agreed: “Anderson is also up there at the minute. But I’ll also go with Merv.” 

The players were also asked who was the biggest practice junkie. Cross, Smith and Michael van Gerwen all said themselves. But Littler added: “Not me!”

Talking about the funniest player, Littler added: “Probably Rob Cross he just never shuts up and talks nonsense.” 

On the most naturally gifted player in the world, Van Gerwen bluntly replied: “Me.” 

When asked who is the best dressed. Wright added: “Me. I have to say that otherwise my wife Jo will kick me in the nuts.” 

On which player would you swap lives with. Wright continued: “MVG to see his house that he’s built with all the prize money I’ve given him!”

Aspinall added: “Luke Littler. Not for the fame, not for anything else. Just for the fact that he has absolutely no responsibilities in life whatsoever. 

“He hasn’t got kids to go home to. He can go home, get in his bed, watch telly and play Fifa and do whatever a 17-year-old lad does.”

Smith concluded: “I like my life. I just like being locked away from the world on my farm. No one gets in, nothing. I think all the dart players are just weird.”
