LUKE HUMPHRIES aims to win the Premier League to go with his World Matchplay and World Championship titles.
World No.1 Humphries returns to the big stage today in the UK against Joe Cullen at the Winmau World Masters for the first time since his shock fourth round exit to Peter Wright at Alexandra Palace, but ‘Cool Hand Luke’ already has his eye on the Premier League.
One of Humphries’ major goals in 2025 is to claim his first Premier League title, having made it to the final on debut before being defeated by an inspired Luke Littler at the O2, in front of 14,000 fans.
Humphries said to Mirror Sport: “You’re away from home a lot and the travelling can be tough but it’s a cool thing to be involved in. No arguments from me, I loved playing in it.
“I would really like to win it, it would match up with the Worlds and the Matchplay. Not many people have won all three in their careers.
“It’s a great field with a lot of class and talent. It would be really special to win it.”
The former World Champion has the opportunity this year to join Gary Anderson, Phil Taylor, and Michael van Gerwen as the fourth player to win the illustrious Triple Crown.
