ASPINALL: I’M PRETTY S*** ON THE PROTOUR

04/03/2026 By Aaron Nijjar

NATHAN ASPINALL has delivered a brutal assessment of his own form after admitting he is “pretty s***” on the ProTour.

World No.14 Aspinall has made a steady start to the year reaching the final of Players Championship One.

The Stockport thrower picked up THREE titles on the European Tour last season but has not tasted success on the floor circuit since 2022.

Aspinall believes he thrives on the big stage atmosphere and insists this year’s Euro events offer him the perfect chance to boost his ranking.

He said: “There’s good money in these Euro Tours and you get to see different places.

“But when it came to Sunday nights I was absolutely done. It took me a long time to find the formula that works for me.

“I am excited for this year. This is where I can do my damage. I’m pretty s*** on the ProTours. I hate them.

“I love the Euro Tour, the crowd and the energy. I think I come alive on the stage and the European Tour is the place for me.

“I looked at what I was defending and it is £43,000 until October.

“I think I have won £30,000 now, so I’ve got about 40 tournaments to defend £13,000.

“It is amazing. That is why I am going to play in these as much as I can.”

Aspinall has also revealed plans to hold his stag do during World Cup week ahead of his wedding, with close pal Chris Dobey even slimming down for the big occasion.

He added: “He’s done well, Chris, to be fair. He’s lost a lot of weight, naturally, I must admit.

“The stag do is going to be immense. We’re doing it over the World Cup week. Trying to get in the England darts team with [Humphries & Littler] is impossible.

“It’s going to be hectic. I can’t wait. As long as I don’t get tied up round a lamppost.”
