CHISNALL BACKS GREAVES FOR MORE HISTORY-MAKING MOMENTS
02/03/2026 By Aaron Nijjar
DAVE CHISNALL has saluted trailblazer Beau Greaves after her stunning nine-darter made history.
‘Beau ‘n’ Arrow’ struck perfection in her 6-5 second-round win over Mensur Suljovic at the Players Championship Six in Leicester.
The Doncaster darter became the first-ever female to hit a perfect leg on the PDC ProTour.
Chisnall insisted her achievement was no one-off and tipped her to deliver many more moments of brilliance in the years ahead.
He told Kwiff: “Fair play to Beau Greaves hitting the magic nine in the week – her first of many, many more. She’s some player.”
Greaves has made a solid start since securing her Tour Card, reaching the last 16 at two floor events already.
World No.22 Chisnall has also rediscovered his form after a difficult spell in recent months, making the quarter-finals at Players Championship Two and Five.
Chisnall endured a trophyless campaign last year for the first time since 2021, but he believes a turnaround is just around the corner.
He added: “I was kicking myself midweek, when going on a nice run at the first of two Players Championship events in Leicester.
“I lost in the Quarter-Finals to Ross Smith on Tuesday, having had a nice run and throwing some nice darts along the way.
“I took out some important finishes in the run, beating Madars Razma, Nick Kenny, Thibault Tricole, Ricardo Pietreczko before losing 6-3 to Ross Smith.
“Ross took out some huge darts, with me sat on a double a few times when racing to a 4-0 lead. Those big checkouts are killer, and I managed to take some big ones out earlier in the day.
“Double 10 proved my enemy over both days, and that and tops are the main takeaway from the two days in Leicester.
“If I can sort both doubles out, I’m going to have a much better chance of getting my hands on some silverware again.
“There’s Euro Tour darts in Belgium and Holland in March, and the UK Open next weekend in Minehead so it’s a busy few weeks coming up and plenty of potential opportunities to try and earn a few quid. Fingers crossed!”
