DOBEY EYES MAIDEN EURO TOUR TITLE

CHRIS DOBEY believes his maiden European Tour title is only a matter of time.
‘Hollywood’ roared back from 4-1 down to edge out Luke Woodhouse 6-5 in a last-leg decider to punch his ticket to the quarter-finals at the Poland Masters.
The Bedlington battler admitted he could easily have been heading home but feels this weekend could finally be the one where he breaks his duck.
He said: “I felt it was a good game. I was very unfortunate to be 4-1 down. I missed and could have won the first three legs.
“He is a great player and I have just got to dig in. We’ve had many battles over the past and there are many more to come for sure.
“I bet he feels pretty hard done by because he did enough to win that game. Double one saved the bacon at the end of the day.
“Whoever lost that game was going to be gutted because we both had our chances.
“Luckily for me I got through that and I got the win. But I need to be better tonight for sure.”
Dobey has claimed eight ProTour crowns in his career and now meets Michael Smith in the quarter-finals in Krakow.
He added: “It will happen. I just need to keep playing myself into form and who knows, this weekend could be the first of many.
“You saw Nathan and Stephen Bunting, they won their first one and many more.
“I am hoping for the same and why not start this weekend.”
