GREAVES MORE DOMINANT THAN TAYLOR AT HIS PEAK

BEAU GREAVES has surpassed the dominance of Phil Taylor in his prime, according to Philip Brzezinski.

Women’s world No.1 Beau Greaves etched her name into the history books on Monday by becoming only the second woman to reach the last 16 of a ProTour event.

‘Beau ‘n’ Arrow’ is unbeaten in 113 matches on the PDC Women’s Series and has picked up 17 consecutive titles on the circuit.

PDC Europe Master of Ceremonies Brzezinski believes Greaves is streets ahead of the chasing pack in the women’s game and has hailed her as a true generational talent.

He told Sport1: “It simply shows how far ahead Beau Greaves is of the entire rest of the field in the Women’s Series.

“That is so unbelievably dominant. One hundred and thirteen matches – even at Phil Taylor’s very best, I don’t think he dominated like that.

“On a tournament day she’ll win five, six matches and range from 107 down to 88.

“She can also gauge what she needs to play, what’s actually necessary.

“She’s got a complete grip on this Series. It’s unbelievable. The standard on the Women’s Series isn’t quite as high across the board.”

Greaves returns to action next week at the Players Championship Three and Four in Wigan.
