LITTLER ANNOUNCES BREAK FROM DARTS

18/09/2025 By Aaron Nijjar

LUKE LITTLER has sent shockwaves through the darts world by revealing he is taking a step back after two whirlwind years at the top.

‘The Nuke’ became the youngest ‘Triple Crown’ winner earlier this year in July at just 18-year-old.

World No. 2 Littler claimed the Premier League, World Championship and the Matchplay within the space of 15 months and became just the FIFTH player to do so.

But the Warrington thrower posted a video on his Instagram and says now is the right to depart from the sport.

He said: “I’ve had an awesome career. I couldn’t ask for much more.

“You know, it has been full-on for the past two years.

“I have achieved many great things – the Premier League debut at the age of 17, the nine-darters on TV, and winning the World Championships at 18, becoming the youngest ever to do so.

“I just want to say thanks to all my fans and supporters. The past two years have been phenomenal.

“It’ll shock some people that I am taking a step back. It hasn’t been an easy decision, but now I want to focus on doing something I really love.”

However, Littler hinted he might not be ready to quit the oche just yet.

As he walked away from the camera, he added: “Do you think they’ll fall for that?”
