LUKE LITTLER has spoken about the possibility of being coached by Phil Taylor and believes he could beat the 16-time World Champion in a match.
Taylor is undoubtedly the greatest player in the history of darts with 85 Major titles to his name.
However, one player who could potentially challenge the darts legend’s GOAT status is ‘The Nuke’, who has entered his second Premier League season as the defending champion and fresh off winning the 2025 PDC World Darts Championship at just 17.
The teenage sensation suggested that an exhibition match between the two could be a possibility.
He told SportBible: “I’m sure that will happen soon. Sooner rather than later. To share the stage with him will be incredible. I’m sure we’ll make it happen.
If a match between Littler and ‘The Power’ were to be announced, it could be one of the biggest in the sport’s history—and the young Warrington thrower believes he would emerge victorious.
He admitted: “If Taylor does start practising then it will be tough, but if he just sits at home and then comes to an exhibition then I fancy my chances.”
Although, Littler did reveal that having the 64-year-old darts ace as his coach is not something that he plans to do right now.
The four-time Major winner said: “That could possibly happen down the line but as of now, it’s just a case of me focusing on the busy schedule ahead.”
Littler returns to action this Thursday as he faces Rob Cross in the quarter finals of the Premier League in week 2 at Glasgow.
