LITTLER TARGETS HOLDING ALL MAJOR DARTS TITLES AT ONCE

LUKE LITTLER has his sights set on holding all the major darts titles simultaneously.

‘The Nuke’ has not lost at a Premier ranking event since defeat to James Wade at the European Championship last October.

World No.1 Littler has since won the Grand Slam, Players Championship Finals, World Championship, World Masters and the UK Open.

The teen sensation delivered a commanding performance to defeat stalwart Wade 11-7 in the final at Minehead.

Littler admits he is driven by the chance to make history and break records at the oche as he continues his rapid rise.

He said: “That’s obviously the main aim. Even after the semi-final I was straight on Instagram and TikTok just scrolling and I saw it was 16 consecutive semi-finals or maybe even 17.

“My semi-final record is good and luckily the finals record is there as well.

“I am always on social media and I think it was a day or two before I travelled down I saw the last person to go back-to-back here was Michael [van Gerwen] 10 years ago.

“It was Gary Anderson at the Worlds. I took it game by game and got the job done.”

Littler endured a difficult start to the Premier League after failing to reach a final in the opening four weeks.

But the Warrington thrower bounced back in style by claiming his first nightly win in Cardiff, producing stunning 170 checkouts against home favourites Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton.

He added: “The Premier League on Thursday was a massive win to get myself from seventh up into the qualification spot.

“It wasn’t the start I wanted, but now I’m sat third and that means a lot. To bring that form here and pick up the trophy as well means a lot, and hopefully I can kick on now.”

Littler has been nominated for the Laureus World Breakthrough of the Year Award later this year and is hoping to meet one sporting great in particular.

He continued: “Hopefully I can meet Alcaraz. I am a big tennis fan and he won me some money against Novak Djokovic [recently]!

“It is an amazing feeling, I think I have broken through twice now, I did it in 2024! It is obviously massive.”
