LITTLER WARNED HE LOOKS ‘SLOPPY’ DESPITE WINNING RUN

11/03/2026 By Aaron Nijjar

LUKE LITTLER has been warned he looks “SLOPPY” too often at the oche.

‘The Nuke’ clinched a FIFTH successive major title by beating James Wade 11-7 in the UK Open final.

But former pro John Part believes the teenage sensation is offering opponents too many chances despite still finding ways to win.

The Canadian legend reckons Littler’s performances have dipped below the frightening standard fans have become used to seeing.

He told the Love the Darts podcast: “He’s presenting too many opportunities out into the world. That concerns me.

“If I’m in his camp and I’m coaching him, I just think there are way too many chances being offered.

“You watch overall and you see it happening again and again.”

The three-time world champ suggested rivals will start to sense opportunity if Littler does not tighten up his game.

He added: “If you’re another player and you’re cognisant of that, you’re going to feel pretty hopeful playing him.

“You’re going to get in there and maybe take the chances offered more frequently. I think he needs to tidy up a little bit.

“Obviously winning is the bottom line. But it would be nice for him to have a really solid spell where no one gets near him for a while.

“That’s what we know he can do and it would be good if he could get sharp again.

“In my mind he just hasn’t been sharp Luke Littler for a while.

“He’s winning, which is great. He knows how to win and he’s a great competitor.

“Even the final with James Wade — at one point James was nine-seven down and around 15 behind on the averages.

“How is that position even possible? That’s really worrying if you’re Luke Littler.

“In a way it’s ominous because if he’s winning everything anyway and he’s not even playing his very best, that says a lot.

“He’s managing games well and getting the job done, which I really admire. But he looks sloppy far too often as well.”

World No. 1 Littler returns to action this Thursday in the Premier League and will face Gerwyn Price in Nottingham.

Littler currently sits third in the table after winning Night Five in Cardiff.
