NOPPERT ADMITS CONFIDENCE CRISIS AMID HOUSE MOVE

DANNY NOPPERT admits he is battling a crisis of confidence after juggling darts with moving house.
World No. 15 Noppert beat Dirk van Duijvenbode 6-4 in Antwerp with a 92.48 average and a clinical six out of six on doubles, including taking out a stunning 137 checkout.
‘The Freeze’ booked his place into the last 16 at the Flanders Darts Trophy but says belief in his own game is at a low.
Former UK Open champ Noppert revealed life off the oche has left him short of practice time.
He said: “After the break in August I couldn’t believe the last time I played on stage on the Euro Tour was in Kiel which is a long time ago.
“I am really happy with my performance against Dirk.
“Whenever I play him, they are always close games because he is a great dart player, but I won and took it over the line.
“There is a long way to go, I’m not really confident I have to work hard every week. I’m not there at the moment.
“I have moved to a new house, so I have been really busy the last couple of months.
“I am still in the process of moving but I am really enjoying it, that is the most important thing.
“And I also need the money!”
Noppert has reached semi-finals at the World Masters and three ProTour events this season.
But the Dutchman is on course to finish the year without a title for the first time since 2021.
