HOOD FORCED TO DROP “HAPPY FEET” NICKNAME

JUSTIN HOOD is set to ditch his long-standing nickname “Happy Feet” due to copyright issues.
The Glastonbury-raised ace earned the quirky moniker after an early mishap in his career when he was forced to borrow oversized shoes for a county match.
World No.53 Hood had forgotten his own footwear and ended up playing in size 12/13 shoes, leading to the tag sticking ever since.
Happy Feet is a popular animated children’s film about a dancing penguin, which has led to copyright complications.
Hood confirmed the label is set to be scrapped and a change is on the way.
He told talkSPORT: “We’ve got stuff going on with my nickname that’s got to be changed.
“So, we’re going through all of that now. Happy Feet has got to go unfortunately, so we are sorting a new one out now.
“We haven’t settled on anything yet.”
Hood reached the quarter-final of the World Championship on debut before falling to Gary Anderson.
The 32-year-old is a real character and celebrates wins by sticking his tongue out and lifting up his shirt to reveal his bare belly, fuelled by Chinese food.
But Hood revealed he was told off by PDC chiefs after repeatedly showing his NIPPLES on stage at Ally Pally.
He added: “He told me off after the game against Nick [Kenny]. He said if you do it again, you are in trouble.
“Then I did it against Danny [Noppert]. He said if you do it again, it will be the biggest fine you have seen.
“I’m not gonna say what I said back to him because it’s a kids’ show. I said if I get to the final though, I will do something very bad.
“Then you can take it out of that prize money.”
